The Ayuso Government avoids criticizing the signing of the Leguina couple by the Chamber of Accounts and that a senior official calls the ministers “bastards” | Madrid News

The spokesperson for the Government of the Community of Madrid, chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has avoided criticizing this Wednesday that the president of the Chamber of Accounts, Joaquin Leguina, has hired his partner as secretary, or that a director general of economy of Madrid , Juan Manuel López Zafra, has called the ministers of the central Executive “bastards” for the problems and delays in the Cercanías network. There has not been just silence in the face of those two situations. On the contrary, Miguel Ángel García Martín, the number two in the regional government, has used them to criticize the central administration, which in his opinion does worse things.

“The Chamber of Accounts does not depend on the Community of Madrid,” said the regional spokesperson after the weekly meeting of the government council. “This person has been working with the president of the Chamber for more than 20 years, as his personal secretary, therefore, his career and experience is proven,” he added about the Leguina couple, who will improve in the body chaired by the former regional president. the salary she had in her previous occupation as secretary of the Ministry of Culture. And he compared: “It is striking that the emphasis is placed on that professional relationship between two people who have been working together for a long time with everything we have seen. Yesterday we understood why the central government wanted to buy Telefónica shares. We thought it was to safeguard it. And it was to place a friend of the President of the Government, the author of the thesis book fake of the president of the Government [Carlos Ocaña]”.

The spokesperson has followed this same line of argument based on comparison to justify that the regional government is not going to dismiss Zafra, as the PSOE demands, after calling the members of the Government “bastards” in a public message.

“It’s not the trains, it’s you, bastards,” Zafra wrote. A message that he published along with a snapshot in which you can see the spokesperson for the Executive, Pilar Alegría and the heads of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente; Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres and Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, who appeared from the La Moncloa press room.

Faced with the controversy, the senior official has used irony to explain that he actually wanted to write “melons”, and that the spell checker failed him. An argument that draws on the same one that Díaz Ayuso used when the Congressional cameras caught her calling President Pedro Sánchez a “son of a bitch,” and she joked that, in reality, she had pronounced “I like the fruit.”

“It is a personal account,” Ayuso’s spokesperson said about Zafra’s tweet. “Whenever we address another institution or political official in a press conference or any other area, we do so with respect, with institutionality, and trying to maintain manners,” he assured. “What I strongly ask is that the minister [Óscar Puente] do your work”.

Furthermore, the spokesperson for the Madrid Government has taken the opportunity to censure that the Government uses the press room of the Moncloa Palace to “miss the truth” and provide incorrect data about Metro de Madrid, and has referred to the incident in Metro which Minister Puente alluded to during the press conference of the Council of Ministers, which was “a landslide.” García Martín has compared this incident to that of Cercanías with “trapped people” who had to go out onto the tracks “putting their lives at risk to get to the station.” Along these lines, he has reiterated that the incidents registered in Metro are “62% lower” than those of Cercanías, and has criticized that Puente gives explanations by comparing it with other administrations such as the Community of Madrid. For all these reasons, Díaz Ayuso’s number two has indicated that they expect Puente’s resignation as minister, since, in his opinion, he “is not qualified” to lead his position.

The spokesperson’s argumentative approaches have reminded those recently used by President Ayuso, who criticizes decisions of the Sánchez Government that resemble her own.

Tax reductions

Thus, in the face of criticism of the President of the Government for interfering in the public media, his three reforms of the Telemadrid law, where he will soon cement his control by appointing a new general director. Given his decision to disfigure the press conference of the Council of Ministers to be used to attack political rivals, his own interventions in the last councils of regional governments held outside the Real Casa de Correos, where he criticized Sánchez with the utmost harshness. Faced with his mockery of democratic memory, which he describes as persecution, I veto him to remember with a plaque that the Royal Post Office was the site of torture and detentions during Franco’s regime. Faced with the fact that the central Executive has achieved the record of complaints regarding transparency, the reform that the PP of Madrid has just sponsored to control the Autonomous Transparency Council, which will become dependent on the Autonomous Executive.

In addition, the government council approved this Wednesday a new series of tax reductions to promote access to housing, which will have an impact on public accounts of around 118 million euros, according to the Administration’s calculations.

Specifically, a personal income tax deduction of 1,000 euros will be established for those who formalize new rental contracts for homes, which have been empty for at least one year, and who join the rental market with contracts lasting more than three. The beneficiaries will be the owners or usufructuaries who have no more than five real estate properties. The savings would be 20 million euros and would reach 20,000 citizens.

Regarding mortgage loans for primary residences, a 25% bonus will be created on the difference established between the interests paid and those that would have been satisfied taking the Euribor of December 2022 as a reference, with a limit of 300 euros per year. , as long as the loan is variable rate. It is estimated that this initiative will benefit around 450,000 taxpayers and will generate tax relief of around 90 million euros.

Finally, the regional government has designed a new package of tax reductions to combat the depopulation of rural municipalities. The objective is to help young people under 35 years of age to establish their habitual residence in one of the towns with less than 2,500 inhabitants, whether buying or renting. In total, it is expected to benefit more than 1,200 taxpayers and generate savings of more than 8 million euros during the first year.

On the one hand, a deduction for transferring residence to one of those municipalities is set at 1,000 euros in the tax period in which the change of residence occurs, with the condition that the taxpayer maintains it for the following three years. On the other hand, young people who acquire a habitual residence in one of these towns will be able to deduct 10% of the purchase price, with an annual limit of 1,546 euros for ten fiscal years. Along with this, a 100% bonus will be established on the Property Transfer taxes (ITP) in the case of the acquisition of second-hand housing, and on Documented Legal Acts (AJD), in the case of new housing.
